FUNK MACHINE is a streetwear and lifestyle brand launched in 2024 by skateboarding thrill seeker and life-long shredder, Geoffrey Milnes. WE are headquartered in super rad Calgary, Alberta. Here we joyfully LAY DOWN THE FUNK, slashing, bashing and crashing the rowdy streets and sk8 parks of our great city and nearby mountain towns whenever we can.
At FUNK MACHINE our MESSAGE encourages all to live their very best life... 'cause we only get one chance... and our MEDIUM... of course... is SKATEBOARDING! Inclusivity for all people- no matter their gender, sexual orientation, age, race, skin colour or adaptive needs and respect and care for our precious planet Earth is the life-blood of our brand.
Our designs are powered by human smarts... not artificial intelligence. An UNBRIDLED ENTHUSIASM for SK8BOARDING and SK8 CULTURE, MUSIC, HUMOUR, the HORROR and SCIENCE-FICTION genres and an OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE GRAVITY SPORTS ADDICTION serve as foundations to the FUNK MACHINE UNIVERSE. The look and AESTHETIC of our GEAR is heavily influenced by the t-shirts, posters, stickers, badges and patches that GEOFFREY bought at record stores and head shops in Toronto back in the eighties and nineties. All of these elements work to inspire FUNK MACHINE'S unique perspective and fuel the distinct look of our product line.

The CONCRETE COSMOS is our designation for ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE that you can ride a skateboard. "SLAY THE CONCRETE COSMOS" is FUNK MACHINE'S rally cry for the people of Earth to jump on their skateboards and seek adventure and knowledge freestylin', destroying, ripping up, and conquering (in short: SLAYIN')... all of the curbs, pools, walls, skateparks, stairs, rails, ramps, alleyways, manny pads, bowls, tubs, ditches, quarter pipes, half pipes, full pipes and all the other nameless and endless features and transitions that comprise our beautiful CONCRETE COSMOS. The word “FUNK” as it relates to GREAT MUSIC denotes “strong rhythm and energized artistry.” It is our belief that strong rhythm and energized artistry are also the same forces that drive GREAT SKATEBOARDING. We joyfully recognize all of the FUNK that goes into everything we do on a skateboard and have proudly decree FUNK MACHINE as our brand name. This is because we believe each and every passionate skateboarder out there is essentially a very unique FUNK MACHINE.
